Mount Scopus Memorial College is a co-educational Jewish School from Early Learning to Year 12 across three campuses; St Kilda East, Caulfield South and Burwood.
The College is seeking a casual office assistant, who would be available to work across all three campuses of the College (Burwood, East St Kilda and Caulfield) on an ad-hoc basis to cover for planned and unplanned absences in the front office/administration functions of the College. This is not a permanent or regular hours position, but may suit someone with a flexible schedule that would be available to work between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm on weekdays, sometimes at short notice. It would suit someone that enjoys variety and has a positive, can do attitude.
This opportunity may suit a University student with a flexible timetable, someone looking for some occasional work, or someone wanting to gain some experience in an office environment. You may live close to one of the College campuses and be interested in occasional casual work - ideally though we would love someone who would be available to assist across all three campuses as required.
The type of work required is answering phones, directing calls, greeting visitors to the College, assisting with staff, parent and student enquiries, managing front office administration such as deliveries and mail, and assisting with administrative tasks during busy periods or for certain projects. If you are able to work independently and with little supervision, are quick to learn, flexible and adaptable, we would love to hear from you.
All applicants must have the right to work in Australia, and have a Working With Children Check or be willing to obtain one. Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a security screening undertaken by the Community Security Group. Being Jewish is not a prerequisite for employment, however a worldview that is sympathetic to the Jewish ethos is essential.
