Greensborough College is a Year 7 to 12 co-educational School situated in the City of Banyule in the North Western Victorian Region. Our mission is "At Greensborough College we CARE". The student profile includes 4% EAL (English as an Additional Language) students and 3% ATSI (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) students. Our equity-funded students¿ category consists of students 38% and PSD students 7%.

Greensborough College is an inclusive school that is focused on academic achievement and ensuring all students achieve their personal best. We provide a wide range of programs for all ability levels.

There is a strong emphasis on core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities; complemented by programs in the Technologies, Arts, Music, Languages (Italian), Physical Education and Health. A wide range of VCE subjects including a strong VET program runs parallel to our VCAL program, offering students diverse future pathways. We offer a high level Athletic Development Program (ADP) which has over 120 students enrolled in a curriculum program, strength and conditioning training programs and coaching programs (Tennis, Basketball, Australian Rules Football, Soccer & Netball).

We offer a wide range of inter-school sporting and co-curricular activities including a full camps program, Musical Instrumental Program, School Production, Debating, Outdoor Education, Community Involvement, overseas cultural experiences, student leadership, student achievement celebrations, Homework Club and other interest clubs.

Greensborough College Sports Precinct has been completed.  We are fortunate to have a brand new Football Oval, Soccer Pitch, practice Cricket Nets, Running Track, and a two storey Pavilion. 

The college has currently undergone building works, giving us 3 new buildings to include new state-of-the-art classrooms, Library, and Science wing.

Selection Criteria

SC1  Demonstrated capacity to perform duties consistent with established guidelines and frameworks, including coordinating and supporting others in respect to specific work functions relevant to the role.

SC2  Demonstrated capacity to work and collaborate with others in a team environment.

Role

Dimensions of work

·    Co-ordinate, organise and determine work priorities within a work area

·    Ensure the efficient operation of a work area

·    Obtain cooperation amongst staff within the work area and supervise the performance of tasks

·    Communicate and liaise with school staff to foster cooperation

·    Support financial and budgetary processes by:

(i)  ensuring the availability of system generated financial reports;

(ii) appropriate recording of payments and receipts

·    Coordinate the preparation of routine school communication

·    Ensure confidentiality of records is maintained

·    Manipulate data/information and prepare documentation/basic reports

Responsibilities

Specific Duties

·       Participate in general duties commensurate with the position standard within the skill level of the participant and be willing to undertake further professional development

·       Front of house reception duties, directing the school community and other visitors to the relevant areas or people

·       First point of contact for incoming phone calls and responding to enquiries

·       Participate as back up in the general offices in the absence of another staff member

·       Carry out required procedures to maintain the College keys register

·       Maintain the College phone list and liaise with the external software company to update the staff extension register when required

·       Monitor offer stationery and place orders as required

·       Student administration including receipting, family queries, payments and student attendance

·       Work with the Assistant Principal to carry out the required procedures to complete student Census

·       Carry out required procedures to enable administration of student enrolments and exits

·       Administration support to the Junior Student Engagement and Wellbeing Leader for Year 6 to Year 7 Transition

·       Compass and Cases administration to also include Parent Teacher Interviews and Parent Opinion Survey

·       Other duties that may be required by the Principal / Business Manager

FIRST AID

·       Provide Frist Aid assistance to DET standards

·       Check and replenish First Aid stock requirements

·       Document, monitor and communicate student medical conditions

·       Deliver the mandated anaphylaxis training 

·       Assess students, as required, after they have been triaged at the General Office

·       Other duties that may be required by the Principal / Business Manager

Working With Children¿s Check, Police Check and First Aid essential
