About the role
The Switchboard Receptionist provides excellent customer service through reception and the telephone switchboard at our Hamilton campus.
The position requires a high standard of communication skills, both over the telephone and in person and includes handling a high volume of inbound calls. Other requirements include the capacity to show a strong level of skill in organising and planning along with prompt and effective response to WDHS emergency procedures. This role will also assist with Finance tasks as required. This Switchboard Receptionist requires flexibility to work hours across a seven-day roster, including some outside normal business hours. Previous switchboard or reception experience is desirable but not essential.
You will bring:
- Ability to remain calm under pressure;
- Capacity to effectively and autonomously prioritise multiple conflicting requirements;
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality;
- Capacity to show a strong level of skill in organising and planning;
- The ability to provide a degree of flexibility in regard to rostered hours across seven days a week.
