Linear Clinical Research Ltd is an internationally recognised, not-for-profit. Founded by the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (Perkins), Linear has Western Australia’s only dedicated early phase clinical trials facilities located in Nedlands and Joondalup where we focus on early phase clinical trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas.
Here at Linear that includes a broad oncology portfolio that continues to expand as we open the Advanced Cancer Trials Centre (ACTC) in early 2024, the first of its kind facility in Australia dedicated to bringing novel therapies through clinical trials to the cancer patients of Western Australia. The ACTC is situated on the QEII Medical precinct, directly next to the WA State Cancer Centre.
Your role in our future:
This is a Full Time role where you will be required to work approximately 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm) These hours are flexible to accommodate for the needs of the individual.
Based at Linear’s Nedlands facility within the QEII Medical Centre this important role will be the central point of call for all who are on Linear Premises. As a Receptionist, you will assist in overseeing building access, front desk communication, facilitation of all incoming mail and deliveries, along with general administration at our clinical facility.
Working in this agile and proactive role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Greeting and signing in/out participants and visitors;
Facilitating all guests as they move throughout Linear facilities;
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, liaising with relevant project teams as required;
Arranging and managing required couriers;
Receipt and management of all deliveries arriving at Linear;
Liaising with external vendors to facilitate maintenance and service requests;
Provide support to the wider Corporate Operations and Shared Services teams with ongoing tasks (e.g. facility support, asset management, purchasing, etc);
Providing ad hoc support to teams across the organisation;
Maintaining the immaculate presentation of our facilities
Your Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role, you must be proactive, technologically astute, and able to develop meaningful professional relationships with both colleagues and visitors.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
At least 2 years’ experience in a corporate environment as Receptionist/Concierge/Front Desk, or an equivalent customer focused role.
Demonstrated ability to work proactively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong technological understanding and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Self-motivation and an ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Proven time management skills with demonstrated ability to multitask and meet competing deadlines.
Your own vehicle and clean driving record that can be used for occasional work purposes if required.
Your own laptop device that can be used for work purposes (Bring Your Own Device allowance provided).
