KEY RESPONISBILITIES
The role involves both onsite and in office responsibilities, including inspection and civil design tasks, such as the below:
Onsite:
- Conduct site inspections and record damage.
- Identify types of failures such as pot-holes, pavement damage, and slips.
- Assess and document damage using the RADAR platform.
- Work with Geotechnical and Environmental teams to assess damage eligibility.
Office:
- Manage RADAR inputs and status updates.
- Assist with DRFA-related civil inputs for funding submissions.
- Review damaged sites and assess DRFA eligibility.
- Draft Phase 1 DRFA Submission for endorsement.
- Compile Phase 1 for minor sites and assist with major sites.
- Attend meetings with TMR on scope, maintenance, and reconstruction works.
- Respond to queries about treatments, damage, and quantities.
- Apply civil design principles to repair damage.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (structures, geotechnical, environmental, cost).
- Compile contract documents using TMR specifications.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities and liaise with the project team.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- 8-12 years’ engineering experience.
- Qualification – BEng or equivalent
- RPEQ or eligible
- Asset Management / Road Steward background
- Knowledge of TMR specifications and contract delivery would be an advantage.
- Previous experience in the disaster recovery projects.
- Preference for working face to face with a team in the office
- Desire to mentor and grow less experienced engineers.
- Desire to undertake a wide range of civil engineering activities. Planning, design, contraction supervision
