In this position as a Recovery Support Advisor, you will provide expert case management for APM Group’s internal workers compensation claims nationally and support to the National Workers’ Compensation Claims & Recovery Support Lead. This is an 8-month maternity contract role.
You will make an impact by:
- Providing effective case management for APM internal workers' compensation claims nationwide.
- Reviewing new claims, liaising with leaders and injured team members, and establishing new workers' compensation claims.
- Monitoring and reporting on return-to-work activities and claim outcomes to Leaders and General Managers.
- Developing return-to-work plans in collaboration with Leaders, P&C leads, and allied health professionals.
- Providing information to injured workers regarding their rights and responsibilities.
- Maintaining accurate case notes and data spreadsheets in compliance with Service Level Agreements.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 3+ years’ experience in a workers’ compensation claims and/or injury management role
- Experience managing complex claims
- Return to work accreditation in at least one Australian jurisdiction and willingness to learn others
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Willingness to follow directions and undertake projects
