Recruitment and Mobilisation Coordinator

SMS Mining Services is a privately owned, West Australian based Mining Contractor. Founded in 2000, SMS has progressed from being solely Equipment Rental to now having extensive involvement in the Maintenance and Contract Mining Divisions.

About the Role:

We are currently looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual to support our HR Department in a fast-paced blue-collar environment. The ideal candidate would be someone with a strong administration background and prior experience in this role working in the mining industry. Key duties are:

• Coordinate and manage new starter onboarding process
• Support the Recruitment team with job & job ad creation in our Jobadder ATS
• Booking pre-employment medicals and ordering PPE for new starters
• Preparing personnel records and booking inductions
• Maintain and manage all employee records ensuring all information is kept up to date and complaint with site requirements
• Assist the Recruitment team with creating talent pools for potential new candidates and sourcing potential candidates to fill vacancies
• Provide back up support for the Recruitment team when required including reference checking and phone screening
• Provide generalist administration support to the HR Department when required  

What we are looking for

• At least 12 months experience in a similar role
• Recruitment experience advantageous but not essential
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• High level communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite software
• Positive attitude, eager to learn and able to thrive in a busy environment
• Must be able to work autonomously as well as in a team
