Mermaid Property Services is a market leader in commercial cleaning focusing on educational facilities, leisure and commercial buildings. We currently have a decentralised workforce of approximately 400 employees and we are expanding our workforce.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Consultant to join our growing company. This position needs someone who loves the challenge of finding good staff and onboarding them to meet the demands of our growing business as well as assisting with the payroll processing and related matters for our employees. This role is an integral part of the company.
Recruitment
- Own the recruitment process including advertisements, screening, reference checking, interviews and offering candidates’ positions.
- Maintaining personnel records and associated human resource information systems
- Maintain a recruitment pool of prospective employees.
- Respond to employee correspondence requests.
- Create and assign labour hire employees on the internal systems.
- Reviewing and Interpreting Legislation, Awards, Employment Contracts, and Dispute Resolution Procedures
- Providing Guidance and Information to Management on Workplace Relations Policies, Staff Performance, and Disciplinary Matters
- Support CRMs with recruitment need
Onboarding
- Ensure all candidates are compliant before starting work
- Provide ongoing support to facilitate new employees success
Payroll
- Assist with generalist payroll related inquiries
- Conduct fortnightly Payroll coordination
- Ensuring compliance with awards and legislation
- Stay up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations
- Assist with year-end payroll activities
People
- Undertaking negotiations on terms and conditions of employment, and examining and resolving disputes and grievances
- Studying and interpreting legislation, awards, collective agreements and employment contracts, wage payment systems and dispute settlement procedures
- Providing advice and information to management on workplace relations policies and procedures, staff performance and disciplinary matters
- Assist Finance Team when required

- Bachelor's in Hum Resource Management
