Recruitment Manager – Porgera Department: Human Resources Reporting to: Head of HR – Asia Pacific
Purpose: Globe 24-7 is seeking an experienced Recruitment Manager to join our client’s team on the ground in Porgera on a FIFO 3/2 roster. The Recruitment Manager plays a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and selecting top-tier talent for the client’s operations in Porgera. The role also involves driving a team. This position requires close collaboration with staff, hiring managers, internal stakeholders, and candidates to ensure a seamless recruitment process. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of international recruitment practices, cultural intricacies, and legal requirements. The ability to refine the recruitment function and drive the remit forward is pivotal.
About the Role:
Strategic Partnership:
You and your team will collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and devise targeted recruitment strategies.
Engage in workforce planning and contribute to talent acquisition initiatives.
Sourcing and Outreach:
Employ diverse sourcing techniques, including online channels, social media, networking events, and partnerships with international organizations.
Establish and nurture a robust talent pipeline.
Candidate Assessment:
Drive a team to screen resumes, conduct interviews, and evaluate candidates’ qualifications, skills, and cultural compatibility.
Facilitate the interview process, manage communication, and provide feedback to candidates throughout the hiring journey.
Onboarding Support:
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
Cultivate a team that creates a positive candidate experience from initial contact to offer acceptance.
Industry Awareness:
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to international recruitment.
Contribute to enhancing recruitment processes and candidate experience.
Job Descriptions and Documentation:
Drive the team to collaborate with hiring managers to craft accurate job descriptions reflecting staffing needs.
Responsibility for the integrity of the applicant tracking system.
Cultural Sensitivity
Demonstrate a keen understanding of cultural nuances and their implications on recruitment and hiring practices.
About you: We are looking for a results-orientated Recruitment Leader who can influence and build positive relationships. Key to your success will be:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
Minimum 5 years in a recruitment or talent acquisition position, preferably within the mining industry.
Proficiency in understanding current VISA options and employment sponsorship processes.
Experience in managing a large recruitment team
Demonstrated success in international recruitment, ideally within a multinational company or recruitment agency.
