Your New Role Looks Like This:
As the NSW Regional Account Manager, your primary objective will be to achieve the agreed sales and retention targets for Australian Unity and associated brands, via Independent Financial Adviser, major licensees, wealth managers, middle markets and any other agreed distribution channels in your territory.
It is essential to maintain a current and accurate database of supporting advisers to develop and implement specific sales strategies to achieve the agreed sales targets. You will be able to build relationships in your own team and across the broader parts of the business, including Portfolio Management, Product, Marketing and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop strong relationships with Financial advisers, Licensees, Platform network’s and prospects to meet both team and individual inflow targets in NSW
- Assist advisers in building their business’s utilising Australian Unity products and services
- Maintain relationships and information flow for retention strategies where required
- Develop Regional Account plans and strategies to manage relationships and grow FUM to meet targets
- Effectively educate advisers and related parties on the benefits of Australian Unity’s Managed Funds for end users
- Utilise portfolio construction materials and tools to position Australian Unity investment solutions with clients
- Input activity, data and adviser insights for sales tracking
- Input information for collating and maintaining data on insights and feedback from advisers and related parties at a product level
- Present AU products and strategies to external parties to promote their use and increase FUM
- Manage internal and external relationships to enable efficient and effective achievement of desired business and sales outcomes
About You:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a financial services or business environment, preferably with a focus on investments, analysis, accounting or similar discipline
- Tertiary qualification, RG146 is a must
- Proven success in a business development role with a track record of sales success
- Broad product knowledge (equities, fixed income and unlisted property)
- Established network of adviser relationships, preferably in the Wholesale channel
- Sophisticated skills in analysis, building the story and capturing the attention of others in delivery of method
- Ability to interpret research and market data
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to seek continuous improvement and think innovatively
- Ability to manage budget and expenses
