About the RoleThis role will see you work with regional journalists from across New South Wales to script and produce video/TV stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
Key responsibilities will include:- Working with regional reporters to identify stories and workshop pictures, talent and angles
- Sub-editing scripts produced by regional teams for state and national audiences
- Working with metro and regional newsroom colleagues to identify key issues for communities across New South Wales, and commission stories
- Developing video storytelling skills across the regional reporting team, by providing feedback and delivering training
About YouYou will have extensive editorial experience in a news environment as well as advanced media production skills, with a particular focus on video scripting and editing.You will also possess:
- Effective teamwork, communication and time management skills
- An understanding of the issues affecting regional and rural new South Wales
- A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of shifting audience habits and content demands
