The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Regional Coordinator to join the Placement Services team on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Managing and delivering Placement and Support Packages (PaSP) to support short-term residential care options for children and young people when other options are not available.
- Ensuring children and young people in PaSP are provided with individualised care options based on specific, identified needs.
- Working in partnership with approved providers to provide placement management that includes a pro-active placement review and escalation process to exit children and young people within the established timeframes.
- Providing placement consultation to DCP and non-government agency staff to ensure understanding of placement type and the referral process.
About You
We are looking for a confident individual with experience providing sound and practical advice on social work/child protection matters, as well as supporting and guiding team members to improve team performance.
To be successful in this role, you will have highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing to a wide range of key stakeholders.
You will use your knowledge of social work legislative frameworks including Acts, regulations and policies to analyse and solve complex problems.
