Two exceptional opportunities have become available to join Council’s Development Services Team.
Council offers experience in a rural area featuring a portion of the internationally renowned Barossa Valley, iconic historic townships and settlements and the Roseworthy Township Expansion that comprises residential and employment land, providing a diversity of development assessment opportunities.
The Coordinator – Building Surveyor will lead a small, dynamic team of professional staff responsible for administering Council’s statutory obligations under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act and the National Construction Code.
The Coordinator – Building Surveyor undertakes assessments of development applications and required inspections during construction. The role is also responsible for supporting Council’s Building Fire Safety Committee and for providing sound technical and procedural advice regarding development matters to the organisation and broader community. The role also requires the mentoring and management of staff.
The Building Surveyor will undertake assessments of development applications and required inspections during construction and support the Building Coordinator.

- A degree qualified professional with knowledge with the National Construction Code, Plan SA Portal and current processes.
- An Accredited Professional (Level 1 or 2).
