The new External Financial Adviser channel provides an excellent opportunity for UniSuper to partner with advisers and provide support on our investment strategies, superannuation and retirement solutions, and easy to access digital and phone servicing. This will allow advisers to service their clients with market leading super and retirement income solutions in a cost effective and frictionless manner.
THE ROLE
This newly established, Melbourne based role is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with External Financial Advisers. The goal is to encourage them to utilize our superannuation offering for their clients, contributing to growth in this critical distribution channel.
On a daily basis, you will represent UniSuper in the External Financial Adviser Channel, foster trust in the UniSuper brand, influence Advice Licensees to recommend UniSuper on Approved Product Lists (APLs), maintain long-term licensee and adviser relationships, address complaints, provide market insights, and ensure compliance with Trustee Obligations and Governance requirements.
Additionally, you'll coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Business Development Associate.
ABOUT YOU
We seek an individual with high energy, a positive and can-do attitude, and a passion for problem-solving and creative thinking. Additionally, strong B2B sales experience, ideally within the External Financial Adviser channel, is desirable.
Furthermore, you will have:
- Established and strong relationships with Licensees and EFAs
- Strong relationship management experience and sound negotiation skills with the ability to close
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly listening, empathy and the ability to communicate persuasively
- Retirement income, Superannuation & Investments technical knowledge
- Experience of both defined benefit and accumulation superannuation funds desirable
- Investment Management, Asset Class & Portfolio Construction knowledge
- Financial Advice Practice Management and Advice process knowledge
- Experience in Platforms, Advice technology and investment markets and products
