As an HSE Advisor, your primary aim is to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards while fostering a strong safety culture across operations. You'll be instrumental in implementing and enhancing HSE management systems to mitigate risks and prioritize the well-being of personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update HSE policies, procedures, and systems to meet industry standards.
- Foster a proactive safety culture, encouraging employees to identify hazards and participate in improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on HSE matters, promoting best practices in risk management.
- Investigate incidents and accidents thoroughly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Previous experience in a similar HSE role within industries like logistics, transportation, or mining.
- Profound knowledge of HSE legislation, regulations, and best practices, particularly in South Australia.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing effective HSE management systems.
- Professional certifications such as ICAM, Diploma OHS or equivalent are advantageous.
- Training and certifications related to explosives/DG are a plus.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, primarily within South Australia.
