LAB Learning Clinic is a multidisciplinary education service for children, families and schools. We specialise in therapy sessions for children who experience learning difficulties or have a diagnosed disability in the following areas;
- Learning difficulties / disabilities
- Social and emotional supports
- Reading and Spelling difficulties
- Mathematics
- Dyslexia, Autism, Sensory Processing, ADHD and other learning difficulties
Additionally, we provide Professional Development and consultancy for schools. Lab Learning Clinic currently have offices in Newcastle - Kotara and Hamilton, East Maitland, Speers Point and Raymond Terrace. We also provide on-line learning Australia and world-wide.
The Role:
As the Regional Manager based at our Speers Point office, you will play a key role in supporting LAB Learning Clinic to realise its vision, ‘For every child to believe they can achieve’. This will be through managing the day-to-day operations of the office, leading and mentoring staff, driving strategic growth in the region and enhancing the organisation's reputation with our clients, team, referral partners and the wider community.
Additionally, as Regional Manager you will be apart of a motivated and empathic leadership team that encourages team players. This role will officially begin at the start of Term 2 ie. Monday 29th April, 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the office to ensure agreed high standards are maintained eg. office well resourced, mentoring and leading Therapists, monitor and report on key business objectives
- Ensure you are actively attracting, converting, and retaining families by effectively managing and overseeing contacts with external providers, initial assessments, enrolments and orientation
- Plan and deliver Professional Development when required
- Support the HR manager in the process of regional recruitment
- Duties as per a Therapist role
- Perform assessments - both standardised and non-standardised to determine the client's functioning level
- Work collaboratively with the client and family to review outcomes and modify intervention program as required
- Attend Case Conferences and school meetings as required
- Document educational therapy intervention services
- Participate in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic practice
Skills and Experience:
- Must be Tertiary qualified in Education and hold a current NSW driver’s licence
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Ability to implement organisational change, working closely with the Directors
- Well established conflict resolution skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in developing and implementing high quality learning support programs in line with MSL, Dyslexia, Autism, Sensory Processing, ADHD and other learning difficulties
- MSL (Multi sensory) trained desirable or willingness to train
- Proven ability to work as an active part of a multidisciplinary team
- Initiative, strong work ethic, great problem solving skills
- Dynamic and enthusiastic with a passion for working with children
