We are seeking an Allied Health qualified professional to join our NSW team for this maternity leave fixed term contract until Feb 2025. As their Regional Injury Management Advisor you will be responsible for developing and promoting Injury Management strategies that focus on early injury recovery and durable return to work. We are Self Insured and as such you have the opportunity to influence your stakeholders and possess more autonomy and empowerment.

Key accountability includes:
Work with senior leaders to deliver year-on-year improvement in return-to-work outcomes. Monitor and contribute to all rehabilitation, Injury Management and return to work activities.
Comply with all Workers Compensation and Injury Management company policies, standards, procedures and self-insurance licence conditions.
Provide leadership, vision, Injury Management advice and knowledge across NSW.
Develop, implement and monitor case management strategies to ensure early and sustainable return to work outcomes.
Conduct workplace rehabilitation assessments, including modifications and job redesign.
Attend claims review meetings with the Business Units, Self-insurance and Insurers.
Identify cost drivers for medical and like expenses and establish targeted programs to control cost.
To be considered for this position:
Minimum 5 years' experience in Injury Management or return to work positions.
Allied Health Qualification(s) – essential
Knowledge of key rehabilitation and return to work aspects of the relevant Workers Compensation legislation.
Proven experience in coaching and training on return to work and rehabilitation programs
Proven experience in managing complex and serious injury claims.
Proven experience in risk management and injury prevention strategies
Complete understanding of physical and psychological impacts post injury and current treatment options
Knowledge of employer and community-based programs for disability support
Sound understanding of the Regional Injury Management legislative and compliance framework.
Valid driving license.
