This position relates to Section 50 (d) of the West Australian Equal Employment Opportunity Act 1984, where Aboriginality is considered a genuine occupational qualification for this position.A diverse and enabling Project Leader opportunity awaits within Operations Group Regional Projects team to deliver the minor works projects for the Aboriginal Community Water Services program!As a Project Leader, you’re the person who manages relationships with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and co-workers across the region’s remote Aboriginal Communities to deliver upgraded water and wastewater infrastructure.Reporting to the Project’s Delivery Team Leader, you will deliver the minor works projects, complex single cycle, cyclic works, and Asset Condition Assessments for the Aboriginal Community Water Services program and ensure deliverables are on time, to budget and within standards.Boost your career aspirations and make a real difference.This opportunity is ideal for both experienced project managers looking for a change and opportunity to provide a direct benefit to the communities in safely delivering upgraded water and sewer infrastructure the communities or it could also be suitable for entry level project managers or someone with a trade or civil background who is keen to develop and refine your project management skills and processes.We offer extensive support in training and professional development, have excellent mentors, and recently won the Best Place to Work award in the category of Mining, Agriculture and Utilities.Your day may include travel to remote sites to confirm project scope, delivery requirements or oversight of construction works.Or otherwise, office-based tasks include preparing project plans, business cases, tender packages and consulting with engineering consultants and stakeholders to confirm project designs.This role will enable you to use and strengthen your project management, contract management, stakeholder management and communication skills by effectively managing and delivering a program of minor works.Planning, communication, and negotiation skills are key to being successful in this role.   • Construction experience including quality & HSE site inspections
  • Contract administration processes
  • Stakeholder management
  • Experience working in Aboriginal Communities
