An interesting and enabling Project Leader opportunity awaits within Operations Group Regional Projects (OGRP) team to deliver the minor works projects for the Aboriginal Community Water Services (ACWS) program! As a Project Leader, you’re the person who manages relationships with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and co-workers across the region’s remote Aboriginal Communities to deliver upgraded water and wastewater infrastructure. Reporting to the Project’s Delivery Team Leader, you will deliver the minor works projects (Cat D), complex single cycle, cyclic works, and Asset Condition Assessments for the Aboriginal Community Water Services (ACWS) program and ensure deliverables are on time, to budget and within standards.Operations Group Regional Projects (OGRP) currently delivers short to medium term capital and complex maintenance projects for country regional operations including the Essential Municipal Services Upgrade Program (EMSUP) for Remote Aboriginal Communities and, more recently, the ACWS program both of which are part of the Water Corporations Reconciliation Plan. To ensure the successful delivery of these programs OGRP now require an additional Project Leader to join our team focussing on delivering projects in this program of work. We offer extensive support in training and professional development, have excellent mentors, and recently won the Best Place to Work award in the category of Mining, Agriculture and Utilities.Your day may include travel to remote sites to confirm project scope, delivery requirements or oversight of construction works.Or otherwise, office-based tasks include preparing project plans, business cases, tender packages and consulting with engineering consultants and stakeholders to confirm project designs.This role will enable you to use and strengthen your project management, contract management, stakeholder management and communication skills by effectively managing and delivering a program of minor works.Planning, communication, and negotiation skills are key to being successful in this role. The delivery of minor capital and maintenance projects allows our operations team to continue to provide water and wastewater services safely and efficiently to our customers. You will step into a supportive team who are happy to bounce ideas off should you need assistance.There are three teams that focus on projects delivered within key geographical regions. Each of these teams is managed by a team leader, who are approachable, engaging, supportive, and will ensure that you are inducted into the business and project systems and processes to ensure a smooth transition into the role. You will have a time set aside each month to catch-up with your team leader on your program and discuss your achievements and development.You will feel confident working in a team who will set you up for success.
