About the role
The Regional Quality Advisor purpose is to remove clinical risks within Grampians Health’s Care Communities. This position is instrumental in supporting the Care Community’s teams in care delivery through the monitoring of clinical outcomes utilising Grampians Health’s systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide advice and support regarding legislation, compliance, Aged Care reforms, along with developing and supporting a culture of continuous improvement
- Provide guidance to the Care Communities’ leadership team in response to policies and procedures affecting care delivery and educational practices within the Care Community;
- Provide feedback to Care Community Managers regarding skills and opportunities for team improvement;
- Advise and support team members on risk and compliance issues and solutions; and
- Provides timely and constructive feedback to the Care Community Regional Manager/Care Community Operators Director to aid development in the area of managing quality processes in each Care Community.
- Work with the Care Communities to understand trends in audit, survey and quality indicator data and support the opportunities for continuous improvement that they present
Skills and experience
You will have:
- Current AHPRA registration and a qualification in a clinical health profession;
- Understanding of Aged Care Act, ACQSC standards and the reform principles from the Aged Care Royal Commission;
- Deep knowledge of the aged care industry, regulations, and funding;
- Experience in the aged care re-accreditation process; and
- Proven team and people leadership skills.
