Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to join our team. As a Retail Manager at Quinn & Co. Eyecare, you will play a pivotal role in leading our retail operations across multiple locations. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the retail environment, ensuring exceptional customer service, maximising sales, and managing inventory effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management within the Optometry/Optical industry, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering an outstanding patient experience. Hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm. Salary is $70K plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform all lifestyle dispensing duties to the highest standard.
- Lead and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Manage day-to-day retail operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and merchandising.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and increase profitability.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Analyse and resolve quality & customer service problems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Foster a positive work environment and provide training and development opportunities for retail staff.
- Collaborate with optometrists and other team members to provide integrated eye care solutions to customers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the optical or healthcare industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve targets.
- Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and merchandising.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment and is able to remain calm under pressure.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good computer skills including familiarity with software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, Optomate and Sunix.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.
