The Department of Government Services was established in 2023 to improve the experience for Victorian's doing business and interacting with the government.
Department of Government Services brings together Digital Victoria, Service Victoria, Local Government Victoria, Consumer Affairs Victoria, the grant program centre and consolidates procurement policy, and whole of Victorian government telecommunications policy as well as the Working With Children Checks and Births, Deaths and Marriages. Oversight of Cenitex and the Public Record Office Victoria also transfers to DGS.

About the role
We have an opportunity for an individual to join us as Regional Services Program Manager on an ongoing basis. Reporting to the General Manager, Performance & Outcomes, the role of Regional Services Program Manager is integral to the holistic management of CAV's regional offices across metropolitan and rural Victoria. The role helps inform Regulatory Services' leadership and decision-making by liaising with Regional Managers and staff, including the delivery and outcomes of compliance and monitoring activities across regional offices.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Working closely with Regional Offices to ensure the efficient delivery of CAV services in the regions, including determining the aggregate level of service to be delivered by Regional Offices
- Liaising with Regional Managers when required, influence regional activities to help deliver CAVs services, and interpret and translate requirements and activities into outcomes.
- Acting as a focus point for contact between CAV and the Regional Offices in regard to escalation of client issues, service delivery pressures, reporting of outputs, and other matters which may arise
- Assisting in the planning and management for the involvement of Regional Offices in the delivery of a range of services and projects to meet CAV and Government policy objectives

About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in managing program delivery to achieve specific outcomes.
- Experience in translating strategic goals to operational actions and outcomes highly desirable.
- Knowledge of, and or relevant experience in regulatory environment highly desirable.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential.
As the role may require regional travel, a current Victorian Driver Licence is desirable.
