We currently seeking highly skilled Youth Workers in Orange and surrounding areas.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role you will be caring and mentorship to Children and Young People who have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect and may also have a mental health, physical or psychosocial disability.
Some of the tasks you will be involved in are:
- Assisting with daily routines, personal care and meals, completion of housekeeping tasks, recreational activities, homework supervision and assistance.
- Administering medication
- Transporting the young people to and from school, day programs and appointments.
- Supporting the involvement of families, facilitating and supervising contact visits.
- Maintaining high quality record keeping and documentation.
Essential Criteria:
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current NDIS Worker screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- National Police Check (within 12 months)
- Valid full driver’s licence
- Certificate in Assist Clients with Medication- HLTHSPS006.
- Recognise Healthy Body System certificate-HLTAAP001.
- TCI training.
- Comprehensive Car Insurance.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID- 19.
- Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Community Services or Youth Work.
- Experience with high challenging behaviours.
- Ability to work a mixture of shifts including day, night, sleepovers and weekends.
