Registered Midwife | Mornington Peninsula

Part-time opportunity for a Registered Midwife.

A new opportunity has arisen for a Registered Midwife to join the 14-bed integrated Maternity Unit, including a level 2 Special Care Nurseryat a private hospital on the Mornington Peninsula. It is a Permanent Part-Time position, offering a minimum of 45 hours per fortnight.
ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will join a team dedicated to delivering a higher standard of support and care for mothers to be and their newborns.
The multidisciplinary team of experienced obstetricians, midwives, nursing staff, lactation consultants, and allied health professionals work together to ensure a comfortable and confident experience – before, during, and after pregnancy.
REQUIREMENTS

• Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife;
• At least 2 years of experience in a birth suite and maternity unit. SCN experience is highly desirable;
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster;
• Qualification as both a midwife and a registered nurse is highly regarded.

REMUNERATION On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $34.39 - $ 47.55 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located on the Mornington Peninsula, is a comprehensive 344-bed acute emergency, surgical, medical, cardiac and obstetric facility. The hospital currently accommodates a 14-bay emergency department, 226 medical and surgical, 36 cardiac, 11 ICU, 7 Neonatal, 14 Obstetric, and 30 Oncology beds, including 15-day infusion chairs.
