- Remuneration: $35.32 - $49.60 per hour, excluding superannuation and any applicable loadings.
The 5A Medical ward receives patients directly from the Emergency Department and provides comprehensive acute and post-acute stroke management. The department cares for diverse general medicine patients, including complex respiratory conditions, sepsis and renal failure.
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, safe, people-focused care to those assigned to you. You will have highly developed interpersonal and sound communication skills, both verbal and written. You will have experience in an acute care setting, with a focus on general medicine and stroke.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all Hospital matters.
- Demonstrate flexibility that meets changing needs of the unit or work environment.
- Take appropriate action to meet needs of the unit, assisting others when help is required.
- Perform comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients with the ability to develop appropriate care plans.
- Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
- Recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity.
