This is for Casual, Fixed Term and Permanent appointments at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency

To be successful, you will have...

• Demonstrated assessment skills with clinical expertise in aged care / acute medical / emergency nursing.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Knowledge of legislation pertinent to nursing practice.

Position Profile:

The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, supervises and evaluates nursing care for aged care residents, acute inpatients and clients. Provides triage and emergency assessment, stabilisation, treatment and transfer services to persons presenting to Morawa Perenjori Health Service.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).

The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Midwest health region of Western Australia covers more than 470,000 square kilometres, nearly one fifth of the State, with its population concentrated along the coast. The region is located in the northern middle section of Western Australia and incorporates three health districts - Gascoyne, Geraldton, Midwest and Murchison, is recognised for its unique natural environment and is a culturally diverse region with Aboriginal people representing 13% of the overall population.
