Form of workThis is a key Registered Nursing position at a medium sized Nursing Home in Sydney's Inner West. The role would suit an experienced Nurse who can bring their skills, knowledge, and passion to mentor the team around best practices. You will align well with this opportunity if you have a drive for improving standards of care.
- Take a holistic view to Nursing care, with consideration of each residents' biological, social, psychological and spiritual needs.
- Support shift handovers.
- Provide education, supervision and mentorship to the team on shift around best practice.
- Work closely with GPs to ensure pain medication is used appropriately.
- Work closely with physiotherapists re: pain assessment and management strategies.
- Oversee end of life care, closely supporting the resident and their family.
- Medium sized Nursing Home - in the region 80-90 beds.
- Join an established Aged Care Provider in Sydney's Inner West - this role would also suit someone commuting from the Lower North Shore.
- Hourly rate as per Enterprise Agreement.
- Team structure on site: Facility Manager > Care Manager > Clinical Care Coordinator > Care team.
- Full-time permanent shifts available, but those only interested in part-tim also invited to express interest.
- AHPRA Registered Nurse.
- Prior experience working in Residential Aged Care.
- At least 2 years Nursing experience.
- A desire to improve the standard of care and quality of life for residents.
