About the role:
This is a Registered Nurse role with a permanent day shift roster, and a fantastic opportunity for a nurse early in their career seeking development opportunities with support for growth in Nursing practice. The Registered Nurse who accepts this position will provide person centred care to our residents.
In addition to delivering high quality, person centred nursing care to residents with complex needs such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management, a level two Registered Nurse is responsible for a level of administrative responsibilities, including:
- Deliver high quality nursing skills to residents and support their families, with consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
- Complex needs require following skillsets
- catheter management incl. catheterization
- palliative care incl. syringe driver management
- wound management
- identification and escalation of clinical deterioration
- strong documentation skills with knowledge of ANACC
- Provide leadership, support and supervision to Personal Care Workers and EN team members
- Analyse risk, implement strategies and participate in clinical handovers
- Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with the Nurse in charge
- Permanent roster option available:
- 7am-3pm Mondays and Tuesdays each week - RN Grade 3 position
- 7am-3pm Sundays each week - RN Supervisor position
- Casual RN grade 3 all shifts available
About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential!
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Div 1
- Able to demonstrate experience working as a Registered Nurse in residential aged care (required)
- Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
- Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving
- Demonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one on one interactions
- Willing to work permanent part time day shift roster in the above-mentioned schedule
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

- A current Working With Children Check card
- Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
