SalaryABOUT THE ROLE
MCWA is an in-home aged care provider who is looking for a Registered Nurse and Nurse Assessor to provide clinical assessments on all MCWA clients. As MCWA's Registered Nurse you will be responsible for preparing and evaluating our clients to ensure they remain safe and independent at home. This role will work closely with third party OT's (and OT assessments), MCWA's Relationship Manager, and will work side-by-side with the MCWA Support Worker Team Leader to ensure that the right level of service is being delivered to our clients.
Although based at our head office in Bundoora, this role will require you to travel to and from client homes to provide clinical assessments and reviews.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Completed a minimum nursing Bachelor Degree (Level 1)
- Current practicing registration as a registered Nurse with AHPRA
- minimum 12 months experience in a hospital setting, and/or working with the ageing and elderly, and/or people living with a disability
- A valid police check certificate
- A valid first aid certificate
- Excellent communication skills
- Well developed problem solving
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Ability to respond sensitively to the needs of client group and their families
- Understand and respect the needs for confidentiality in dealing with participants and their families
- A current drivers license
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards would be highly regarded
