AddressOur client is a well established not for profit Aged Care provider who is seeking Registered Nurses to join their multi disciplinary team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for residents.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitoring residents' health status and responding to changes in condition.
- Providing wound care, managing catheters, and assisting with activities of daily living as required.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure holistic care for residents.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records, including care plans, progress notes, and incident reports.
- Reporting changes in residents' conditions to appropriate medical personnel and documenting interventions as required.
- Team Collaboration:
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, allied health staff, and care assistants, to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Providing guidance and support to care staff, including Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants, in delivering quality care to residents.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Adhering to relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines in Aged Care nursing.
- Participating in quality improvement activities and contributing to the development and review of policies and procedures.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Sound clinical knowledge and experience in geriatric nursing, including dementia care and palliative care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to resident-centered care.
- Current CPR certification and valid working rights in Australia.
