Registered Nurse – Child & Family HealthWellington Health Service
About the roleAs custodians of the next generation in our region, our Child and Family Health Nurses play a key role in the core goal of our Health District – healthier rural people and thriving communities. You’ll be in early contact with our families, providing services which may include comprehensive family assessment, monitoring growth and development of young children, education and support for parents, immunisations and referrals when necessary.
You will need to have relevant post graduate qualifications or be close to finishing (within six months), have sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people, the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team and to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care.
We can offer you the opportunity to work in a variety of settings providing services in the home, at community health facilities, in our local health service and via our world-renowned Telehealth service.
This is a temporary position for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
