About the role:
The role of a Casual Registered Nurse within the Day Procedure Centre is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient process for patients undergoing various procedures. With a comprehensive two-day orientation and ongoing support from an on-the-floor educator, nurses are well-prepared to handle tasks ranging from admissions to recovery.
The Centre, housed within the Sydney Adventist Hospital, boasts state-of-the-art facilities including four operating theatres and a twelve-bed PACU, focusing on day-only procedures that support both inpatients and the emergency department throughout the workweek.
What we are looking for:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year experience ideally within a Day Procedure setting
- Demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
- Exceptional communication skills (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professional communication with patients, their families and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts and shift time Mon – Fri, preference will be given to those that can work afternoon shifts Wed – Fri.
