Registered Nurse (Dermatology)

HCDL is a state of the art, modern and busy Dermatology & Laser practice. We are a team of innovative and energetic dermatologists looking for a nurse to join our growing team. Our practice offers a full range of the highest quality, evidence based medical, surgical, laser and aesthetic dermatology. We strive to provide an outstanding, tailored patient experience.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (new or recent graduates are welcomed and encouraged), who:

No Dermatology experience is required. On the job training will be provided to the successful candidate. We are looking for the right person to fit in with the positive, passionate and respectful culture of our growing team.  

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Providing exceptional patient care and safety
• Maintaining confidentiality of all practice and patient information
• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task, work independently and collaboratively
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Patient assessment and education
• Surgical assisting with procedures, administering local anaesthetic injections, removal of sutures, wound care and aftercare
• Assisting with other dermatology treatments such as allergy patch testing, photo imaging, UVB phototherapy, photodynamic therapy (PDT) and wound care
• Assisting or performing the administration of cosmetic injectables including anti-wrinkle injections (botulinum toxin)
• Assisting dermatologists or performing laser and light treatments (energy-based devices)
• Maintaining and sterilising equipment
• Use of medical software
• Work closely with administrative staff to manage triaging and patient flow
• Monitoring and ordering medical consumables stock
• When required handling of telephone calls, mail, faxes and email with efficiency
• Opening or closing the medical practice where required
• Supporting flexibility in practice staffing arrangements
