A highly skilled and passionate nurse is sought to join our dedicated Oncology team in this challenging and rewarding position. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to utilise your clinical experience and project skills to enhance our cancer care services at BRHS. Job share arrangements may be considered at 0.3 minimum, please specify your preferred EFT in your application.
The contract: Fixed-Term, Part-Time, Parental Leave coverage contract, 48.0 hours per fortnight until 30.03.2025
The position:
In this role, you will lead the clinic for cancer patients of East Gippsland and work closely with the Cancer Care Nurse to embed the clinic operations into the BRHS Oncology Day Unit service. You will deliver advanced practice cancer care working with Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) patients providing initial patient education, early and consistent care follow ups, clinical intervention and timely responses. Data collection will form a key component of this role to identify ongoing opportunities for service improvement.

Key criteria required:
- Current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse & post graduate qualifications in cancer nursing
- A minimum of five years post-graduation cancer nursing experience
- Demonstrated expertise and autonomy in the area of cancer nursing, with advanced knowledge, skills and understanding of the specialised needs of cancer patients in the rural setting
- Demonstrated project management skills with experience producing action plans, proposals and Joireports and the capacity to deliver results and evaluate outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and promote teamwork, and to create positive working relationships at a local and organisational level to deliver organisational outcomes.
