Salary Classification: Registered Nurse Year 1-8.
Remuneration: $35.32-$49.60 per hour, excluding superannuation and applicable loadings.
About the role
Medical Oncology (Ward 4C) is a 26-bed ward caring for adult patients from oncology specialties. These specialties include but are not limited to: Colorectal, Brain, Skin (including melanoma), Breast, Lung and Prostate cancers.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. Suitable applicants will have the opportunity to develop skills in oncology nursing with the support of an Educator.
Key Responsibilities
Implement planned care as delegated.
Document nursing care and in patient records.
Maintain an effective personal and professional development plan.
Plan appropriate care following assessment in consultation with the patient.
Support patients, carers and their families to understand and make informed decisions.
What you bring
Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care setting.
Registered Nurse authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity.
Communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
