An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Mental HealthRegistered Nurse to work within the Early Parenting Unit at a currently expanding private hospital in Melbourne.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Working with Children check (if relevant);
- Acute Nursing Experience (Early Parenting/Sleep Settling/Mental Health Preferred/Maternity);
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Works well independently and within a team;
- Basic computer skills.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is an acute facility that provides a full range of surgical and medical services, including a dedicated Mental Health unit and a full-service maternity unit, including mother and baby services. Hospital has 5 modern well equipped interactive operating suites accommodating the following specialities: orthopaedics, gynaecology & obstetrics, urology, neurology, plastics, paediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, general, endoscopy, oralmaxillaryfasico surgery and vascular surgery.
The Early Parenting Unit offers both outpatient day programs and a residential inpatient stay for families who require support following the arrival of a new baby and throughout their first year.
