The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Medicine team as a Registered Nurse (Level 1) in a part time capacity, on an ongoing basis.
As a Registered Nurse (Level 1) you will be providing nursing services in the Acute wards of the division of Paediatric Medicine at the Women's and Children's Hospital. Employees working within this level develop from novice practitioners to a proficient level of professional practice. They consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience. An employee at this level accepts accountability for his or her own standards of nursing care and for activities delegated to others.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be Registered Nurse with NMBA and hold a current practicing certificate. You will be an effective communicator, problem solver, conflict resolver and negotiator with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, prioritise your workload and be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting. Ideally you will also have demonstrated your commitment to providing consumer/client and family centred care.
If you have at least 6 months post registration experience in an acute care setting and have demonstrated competence in paediatric nursing experience then this role is for you.
