Registered Nurse

Our Practice:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated energetic part time nurse to work with our existing part time Registered Nurses, 2/3 days a week 9:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.

Part time hours with the ideal applicant being able to help cover holidays & sick leave. 

We are a small but busy fast-paced private practice in Preston, Vic with 8 GPs & GP Registrars, caring for our patients.

The role:

• Vaccine ordering, cold chain control
• Provision and reporting to AIR
• Instrument cleaning and sterilisation
• Triage and initial review of walk in patients (rare)
• Wound care alongside GPs
• Drawing Up & Administering Vaccinations
• Assistance with procedures (IUD, Implanon, Skin, Vasectomy & Iron Infusions)
• Spirometry 
• Care plan and health assessment initial construction 
• Quality Improvement and accreditation compliance
• Covid Injection administration certificate up to date 
• Flu Clinic 
• Stock ordering and control 

We have a pathology service onsite but there can be an occasional need for venesection, ECGs.

Required:

• Registered for the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia and AHPRA
• CPR, working with children and police check currency
• Must have appropriate professional indemnity insurance
• Initiative to see patients needs while at the clinic
• A cheerful approach to work in a team to provide patient care
• A robust approach to preserving patient privacy
