Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans and medical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor residents' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and caregivers, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Assist in the assessment of residents' physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Supervise and support care staff in delivering personalised care to residents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all residents.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to nursing practice and resident care.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with AHPRA.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in geriatric nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks accordingly.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining resident confidentiality.
