We are Tallangatta Health Service (THS), a small rural health provider offering acute, sub-acute, Aged Care, and community services in Tallangatta and surrounding areas.
Based in Tallangatta, we are just a half-hour drive from the Albury-Wodonga region, a bustling hub filled with restaurants and shops. With a population of 935, it's bustling with supermarkets, cafes, and schools.
With a staff of 190, we pride ourselves on our positive and supportive culture, emphasising professional development and work-life balance. Our facilities include 10 acute beds, and accredited Residential Aged Care facilities, Lakeview with 15 beds, and Bolga Court with 36 beds.
We now have the exciting opportunity forRegistered Nurses to join our team, working across both acute and aged-care facilities in Tallangatta.
The OpportunityWe are looking for Registered Nurses to join our team in Tallangatta full or part-time, participating in our 7-day per-week roster. Our shifts are 7:00am-3:30pm, 2:30pm-11:00pm, and 10:45pm-7:15am, and we offer flexible working options to meet your requirements and offer a true work-life balance.
Our community-focused centres provide acute medical care for local patients, including wound care, physical rehabilitation, IV medications, and more, as well as residential Aged Care facilities.
As one of our RNs, you will be a senior part of our team and will mentor and support our EENs and Health Care Workers in our Aged Care facilities. You’ll be part of a community-focused team, that prides itself on providing care with dignity, and giving residents the opportunity to stay within their community while in care.
About YouAs our newest Registered Nurse, you will have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and be registered with AHPRA. You will have an understanding and passion for Aged Care nursing, and be a community-minded individual, looking to improve residents’ quality of life. Passionate about Aged Care nursing and providing person-centred care for the elderly, you will have a holistic understanding of full palliative care, not just end-of-life care.
Looking for a role where you can have a true work-life balance, you will be ready to work a minimum of three days per week.
You will have:
- A minimum Bachelor’s of Nursing
- Strong understanding of Aged Care standards and protocols
- Ability to collaborate with other health providers
- AHPRA Registration
- A police check or the ability to obtain before starting
- A working with children’s check or the ability to obtain before starting
- NDIS clearance or the ability to obtain before starting
- Experience in Aged Care nursing is heavily preferred but not required
Salary & Benefits
As our newest RN, you will receive a salary in line with the Victorian Public Health Sector Agreement, circa $67,000 - $100,000, negotiable dependent on experience, plus super, penalties, and great benefits.
