About the role:
CMAX is seeking casual and permanent Registered Nurses to conduct clinical, study-related tasks in line with clinical research protocols as approved by local ethics committees.
Candidates with a preference for nightshift are highly sought after for our current rostering needs.
Responsibilities may include:
- Provide Nursing care to and monitor the wellbeing of patients/healthy volunteers;
- Performing basic clinical procedures such as vital sign measurements, ECG and biological specimen collection;
- Administrating oral, intramuscular or intravenous medications;
- Monitoring adverse events;
- Data collection.
About you:
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can demonstrate meticulous attention to detail to ensure strict adherence to defined study protocols. Applicants must hold:
- Registered General Nurse or Enrolled General Nurse;
- Current APHRA Registration;
- Competent in Basic Life Support;
- Willing to undertake Advanced Life Support training;
- A high level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision as well as contribute successfully in a team environment;
- Ability to work in accordance with the CMAX roster as determined by unit activities, which may include weekends and public holidays;
- Work within the NMBA Standards for Practice.
Successful applicants will be required to attend a mandatory 5-day induction followed by specific training. Training for all clinical assessments will be provided.
