Exciting opportunities have become available for enthusiastic and motivated Scrub ScoutRegistered Nurses to join the Interventional Suite at a private hospital in Sydney.
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Scrub Scout Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking perioperative nursing care in accordance with relevant legislation;
• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members, Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and (AINs) to deliver patient care;
• Proactively assessing the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patient;
• Completing all required documentation in accordance with local and National Policies.

REQUIREMENTS Successful applicants will need to demonstrate that they can bring their specialised skills to the scrubbing, scouting, and safe treatment of patients.

• Current AHPRA registration;
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
• Post Graduate Certificate in perioperative (or working towards);
• Minimum 2 years of perioperative scrub/scout experience;
• Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused;
• Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
• Previous experience within a private hospital setting will be well-regarded;
• Passion for delivering quality patient-centered care;
• Flexibility with shift allocations and timing.

REMUNERATION $35.46- $49.79 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Sydney, provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 488 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, a 20-bed general, and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a world-class education centre, a doctor's lounge, excellent staff facilities, a café, and car parking.
The Interventional Suite accommodates adult & paediatrics patients, for planned & unplanned procedures &/or surgery. It comprises 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres, including a hybrid theatre & a cardiothoracic theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; a 41-bed Recovery Unit; Anaesthetics Service and a state-of-the-art Sterilising Services Department. The service currently operates 7 days, 08:00 to 21:30hrs.
