Exciting opportunities have become available for enthusiastic and motivated Scrub ScoutRegistered Nurses to join the Interventional Suite at a private hospital in Sydney.ABOUT THE ROLE As a Scrub Scout Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking perioperative nursing care in accordance with relevant legislation;
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members, Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Proactively assessing the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patient;
- Completing all required documentation in accordance with local and National Policies.
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- Post Graduate Certificate in perioperative (or working towards);
- Minimum 2 years of perioperative scrub/scout experience;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Previous experience within a private hospital setting will be well-regarded;
- Passion for delivering quality patient-centered care;

ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Sydney, provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 488 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, a 20-bed general, and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a world-class education centre, a doctor's lounge, excellent staff facilities, a café, and car parking.
The Interventional Suite accommodates adult & paediatrics patients, for planned & unplanned procedures &/or surgery. It comprises 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres, including a hybrid theatre & a cardiothoracic theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; a 41-bed Recovery Unit; Anaesthetics Service and a state-of-the-art Sterilising Services Department. The service currently operates 7 days, 08:00 to 21:30hrs.
