Our QRVI department is looking for an experienced Regulatory and Compliance Associate to join their tight nit team. You will be working closely with our other departments, and you will ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, and with the scientific evidence. This role brings support to our commercial operations in Australia and New Zealand from a QRVI point of view.

Key Responsibilities
Our QRVI department is looking for an experienced Regulatory and Compliance Associate to join their tight nit team. You will be working closely with our other departments, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, and with the scientific evidence. This role brings support to our commercial operations to support the growth and safety of Pierre Fabre’s dermo-cosmetic business in Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
- Implementation and ongoing use of several corporate platforms.
- Input all products onto brand advice.
- Liaise with New Zealand regarding formulations and fragrances.
- Assess new products and changes to products for compliance with applicable Australian and New Zealand regulations (e.g., Australian Consumer Law) and propose solutions to achieve or improve compliance and marketability.
- Work collaboratively across several departments to review and assess NPDs.
- Assess communication tools (e.g. marketing, sales, training, and educational material) for compliance with applicable Australian and New Zealand regulations (e.g. Australian Consumer Law) and propose solutions to achieve or improve compliance and marketability.
- Review of both complex and simple promotional materials such as TVCs, radio advertisements, product descriptions, product packaging, scientific communications for HCPs, digital campaigns, EDMs, print (retailer catalogues, magazines and newspapers), billboard and POS and compile substantiation letters for retailers. Assess & monitor introduction of new cosmetic ingredients in accordance with local regulations (AICIS in particular), prepare and monitor any submissions required and submit applications when required.
- Submit applications as needed (including but not limited to, SIR, PID and PIR).
- Drive AICIS audits and project manage the compilation of information for AICIS applications when requested.
- Provide advice to other departments, in Australia, in France or elsewhere, about Australian and New Zealand Regulatory requirements.
- Where necessary, contribute to consultations with EPA regarding updated New Zealand processes.
- Ensure the TGA’s AS/NZS standards for sunscreens are implemented locally.
- Liaise with the Cosmetic EU and Corporate Regulatory Affairs when required.
- Regulatory intelligence monitoring.
- Monitor applicable regulatory agencies and regulations, and Industry association to inform relevant company stakeholders of regulatory changes.
- Active participation in regulatory committees including the sunscreen working group and webinars.
- Work closely with relevant industry bodies such as ACCORD.
- Prepare, implement and monitor required written processes (SOPs, Work Instructions, training, etc) pertaining to Cosmetic Regulatory matters.
- Train relevant staff on cosmetic regulatory requirements in the region.
- Cosmetovigilance: Perform cosmetovigilance reporting activities required under applicable legislation and Pierre Fabre corporate policies and procedures.
- Prepare, implement and monitor required written processes (SOPs, Work Instructions, training, etc) pertaining to Cosmetovigilance.
The perfect candidate will have:
- Degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy
- At least 3 years experience in regulatory in the cosmetics industry working within the Australian regulatory environment
- High Attention to detail
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet conflicting demands.
- High level of motivation to work autonomously and a team player across multi-disciplinary areas.
- Strong communication skills to effectively work with other departments to get the best outcome
