As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the businesses' financial activities. You will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop and monitor budgets
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with external auditors and other stakeholders to facilitate audits and reviews
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding ethical standards
- Salary circa $85k-$95k plus super
