About this opportunity
As a Rehabilitation and Recovery Worker, you will provide direct, practical support to participants that help them regain, keep, and improve skills, including self-management skills, while also supporting participants to identify and nurture natural supports that sustain recovery. Essential to sustaining natural supports is that Rehabilitation and Recovery Workers work not just with individuals, but also with families and communities.
Rehabilitation and Recovery Workers walk alongside participants, supporting participants to identify their hopes, aspirations and goals, and work together to develop recovery plans that help participants achieve their goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly data entry and maintaining file notes, as well as various program documentation such as recovery assessments and plans, risk assessments, referral documentation and more.
About you
You are passionate about the recovery and care of others. Your ability to communicate with those around you will assist participants greatly in building relationships within the community.
Rehabilitation and Recovery Workers walk alongside participants, supporting participants to identify their hopes, aspirations and goals, and work together to develop recovery plans that help participants achieve their goals.
What do you need
- Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health, Mental Health Peer Work, or Community Services, or able to demonstrate working toward these qualifications (i.e. proof of enrolment).
- A contemporary understanding of mental health issues and Recovery orientated mental health practice
- A current and valid Driver's License
- National Police Records Check [less than 12 months old]
- Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport, birth certificate or VISA
- NSW (Paid Worker) Working with Children Check, prior to commencement
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
