We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic Relief Legal Administrative Assistant / Float Legal Secretary to work alongside our friendly and experienced Legal Administrative team. This role involves providing both leave coverage for our Legal Admins, as well working closely with the team day to day to provide overflow administrative support.
You will get satisfaction out of providing a high level of administrative support and being flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the firm. This truly varied role will see the successful candidate gaining exposure across all teams and becoming a valued and integral member of the Brisbane office.
Please note whilst this is a full time role, we are open to candidates wishing to work 4 days per week or a 9 day fortnight.
The role
With no two days the same, some of the tasks you will see yourself completing are:
Opening and closing files
Conducting conflict searches
Attending to time entries
Processing third party invoices
Monthly billing, filing and reporting
Preparation of documents including letters, contracts and general correspondence
Assistance with court document preparation and drafting
General ad hoc administrative duties to assist our Legal Admin Assistants where required
Assisting our office services team with overflow tasks
To succeed in this role you will ideally have:
Experience in a professional environment in an administrative/secretarial capacity (desirable)
Excellent time management skills
High level of attention to detail
Exposure to working with systems (FileSite/Work10 and Expert Aderant desirable), with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and also autonomously at times
