How you will make an impact
With a specialisation in Oncology Nursing, your role will involve the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of both educational and clinical initiatives within the Oncology and Cancer Services.
As the Clinical Educator you will collaborate closely with the Clinical Education and Quality and Safety Education teams to develop and enhance learning resources and contribute to curriculum development. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and teaching within our Oncology and Cancer Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver, administer, and assess Cabrini’s oncology education courses.
- Ensure that educational resources are aligned with current evidence-based practices, adhering to Cabrini's guidelines, protocols, and policies.
- Moderate, update, and evaluate eLearning activities to maintain high standards of educational delivery.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with Clinical Support Nurses to effectively deliver and assess the curriculum.
About you
Educational/Vocational
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA) with NMBA
- Postgraduate qualification in clinical education or equivalent (or working toward)
- Postgraduate qualification in Cancer Nursing speciality
Experience
- Proven track record in a clinical education position, preferably within a challenging and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated experience in utilising eLearning platforms and managing online learning systems.
- Expertise in delivering and assessing formal educational curricula, with a focus on maintaining high standards and adapting to evolving educational needs.
- Skilled in the facilitation of clinical simulations to provide hands-on, practical learning experiences.
- Exceptional ability to engage with and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, management, and external partners.
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the NSQHS Standards and how they apply to your area of expertise, ensuring compliance and promoting best practices.
- Proficient in the principles of adult education, including instructional design, teaching methodologies, and learning evaluation to effectively educate and mentor.
