Job description:
The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Infectious Diseases unit is a dedicated infectious disease service and research centre that manages infections in immunocompromised patients. The Infectious Diseases - Administration Officer position assists and supports the Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials team in day to day running of Pharma and Investigator initiated studies. This position is up to Full time (40hrs/week) fixed term for a period of 2 years with a six month probation period. Salary range $66,768 - $73,811 depending on years experience. Reports to Clinical Trials Research Nurse Manager
Essential requirements
- Demonstrated experience with investigator initiated and/or pharma sponsored clinical trials in a similar role eg Clinical Trials Assistant in the health care or commercial setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy and other relevant guidelines.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
Desirable requirements
- Experience with data collection and entry on case report forms.
- Experience with REDCAP database build and data management.
- Experience in Infectious Diseases and/or cancer clinical research and/or clinical trials.
Key accountabilities
- Maintain files and documentation in Teams, Site files and redcap (including scanning, filing -e-copy and hard copy, and archiving)
- Records minutes of trials meeting
- Keep trials calendar up to date
- Liaise with other sites including distribution of study docs
- Preparation of blood packs
- Prepare and maintain site CVs, investigator CVs and training records for the Department
- Facilitate patient reimbursements
- Attend SIVs
- Manage study materials and supplies (including ordering, storage and destruction) as required
- Co-ordinates patient visits as required
- Co-ordinates patient sample collection and transfer as required
- Data cleaning in all database forms (eg excel, teams, redcap etc)
- Data extraction and report preparation as directed
- Data entry as directed
