Qualifications & experience
- Minimum educated to bachelor’s degree or higher level in Chemical Engineering or scientific related discipline, or has at least five (5) years of experience in BOPP manufacturing
Tasks & responsibilities
- Complies with legislative and statutory requirements on safety, environment and engineering standards, exercises due diligence in safety management.
- Co-ordinates the completion of hazard and risk assessments and implement appropriate risk controls
- Develops and administers techniques for inspection and control of product quality in collaboration with quality control staff. Ensure that quality control sampling and testing is carried out to approved standards
- Refining of the operating parameters of plant process’s and equipment, for exampleoThe flame treatment combustion process so that optimum surface tension is achievedoVacuum deposited aluminium films ensuring acceptable metallised film functionality
- Participates in New Product Development activities including raw material profiling and selection, manufacturing trial organizing and monitoring, analysis of outputs and subsequently make recommendations
- Reviewing internal and external product failure data and implement laboratory tests to determine possible causes and identify subsequent corrective actions
- Conducting studies on thermo plastic polymers and to provide confirmation of correct raw material suitability for commercial use.
- Providing feedback on the surface treatment of materials to monitor the operation of commercial manufacturing equipment and assisting to achieve maximum efficiency under safe working conditions
- Providing after-sales services to customers including after-sales troubleshooting to ensure product satisfaction of customers
- Work closely with Operations and Sales and Marketing Departments to identify new product range
