About the Parent-Infant Research Institute (PIRI)
PIRI is a vigorous and innovative Australian research institute focusing on understanding parent and infant well-being, as well as developing treatments. Our mission is to support all parents and their babies in the first 1000 days of life, from pregnancy and throughout infancy, to enhance the prospects for future generations. We work closely with Austin Health’s Perinatal Mental Health Clinic and have strong links with the University of Melbourne. We have developed innovative programs for perinatal mental health suitable for face to face and telehealth delivery. We are leaders in digital technology and have recently been awarded a NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence - STePPS (Science Translation for e-Psychological Perinatal Supports) is a national research centre driving the identification, development, and translation of the most effective, cost-effective, and sustainable e-mental health interventions in the first 1000 days (conception to two years).
PIRI also has a track record in clinical trials and implementing evidence-based treatments in the community to support mothers, fathers and babies.

About the role:
The major role will be clinical and involve:
Essential
Supporting a NHMRC treatment trial.
· Ability to conduct CBT treatment according to research protocols. We are currently engaged in an antenatal trial of depression treatment.
· Ability to conduct assessments including standardised psychiatric interviews (DSM 5) and risk management.
· Liaising with a large number of staff, agencies, mothers and infants.
· Ability to conduct intake assessments and treatments as needed across various programs, if required.
Supervision
· Ability to provide formal or peer supervision to students/junior staff.
Parent Baby Wellbeing Program
· Administering and providing services to the Parent and Baby Wellbeing Program. This will include coordination of providers, clinical treatment and evaluation of outcomes to expecting and new parents.
Supporting digital and other programs
· Clinical support across various programs and the above may change depending on the needs of the team.
· Other programs include the digital intervention MumMoodBooster and support to the telephone coaches and liaising with stakeholders.
Desirable
· Coordination of programs.
· Experience with a SCID is desirable.
· Knowledge/experience of single session therapy and group programs
· Provision of research support, as needed, which may include research administration.
· AHPRA approved supervisor

We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to have a key role at the Parent-Infant Research Institute (PIRI) ( ).
You will be an experienced Clinical Psychologist with an interest in research who has highly developed organisational skills, and a great sense of humour! You’ll have a keen interest in working within a growing research institute.
You’ll further bring with you:
· Excellent understanding of CBT treatment according to research protocols.

· The ability to liaise with a large number of staff, agencies, mothers and infants.
· The ability to provide formal or peer supervision to students/junior staff.
· Have skills in administration and management.
· A team player with initiative and a readiness to flexibly multitask and keen to work within a growing research institute.
The successful candidate will have relevant university qualifications and clinical psychology registration. We are seeking a Grade 3 psychologist with clinical endorsement, but a Grade 2 psychologist will be considered.
